A warship, the ZIMO, has been stranded for a decade fighting an incredibly brutal war overseas. On their way back to their home country, they stop and rest at a hidden island. The island is inhabited by a pacifist tribe who live in a state of perpetual bliss caused by a sweet mist which envelopes the entire island. This mist has no other side effects, and the euphoria completely disappears after an individual leaves the island. Some of the captain’s crew make landfall on the island, breathe the mist, and immediately lose all memory of their past trauma, their families, and their desire to return home. As such, they refuse to leave. The captain, requiring a full crew to navigate the incredibly dangerous seas ahead and get the rest of his crew home, orders his guards to physically restrain and drag the crew members back to the ship.
